4 November 2016, the Paris Agreement is in force, just prior to the COP22 in Marrakech, expected as the "implementation of Conference". The Mediterranean area is since 2015 - (between France and Morocco-) in the heart of the international agenda on climate. The MedCOP21 and Climate MedCOP 2015 and 2016 constituted unique opportunities to take into account national and regional particularities and realities of the Mediterranean basin to contribute to the establishment of a shared equity strategy, inclusive and participatory. It is also, of course defend the specificity Mediterranean in negotiations still ongoing.
Among the central issues of the COP22 for the Mediterranean actors, the INDC transformation process in national Determined Contributions (CDN) will be essential. Recall that all Mediterranean countries presented a national commitment to the United Nations. For them to be translated into concrete action plans, cooperation between Mediterranean States will be essential: the Southern countries and the East having provided such objectives conditioned to technical and financial support.
